Alternative (?) Terrain

I am not sure how I feel about this type of street advertising. I mean I like it for punk bands and social issues / protests etc. but when a company like microsoft gets in on the act it seems to me like it is no longer cool.

Also on the subject of cool I just came across a well written blog called boingboing.

1930's Shanghai Posters

Here's a fine collection of 1930's Shanghai advertising posters. The craft and artistry that went into these works is in contrast to the product they promote ie. cigarettes.
